We’re doing well using Lamprey, Smelts aka Oolies, roe, and some natural finned creatures from the river. Nothing is better than another for now. One day it’s oolies, the next lamps and so on. It even changes from spot to spot. We always have a good selection of bait at this time of year. Cover water. But don’t be impatient, it might be advantagous to give it 30 minutes before moving. Wow! Look at this beauty! This Fraser river Sturgeon measured in at 8 ft 8 inches. That converts to at least 350 lbs. It was caught by a client who was being guided by our Sturgeon guide Jason.
Fraser Sturgeon Deal for May: $569 + tax and licenses
I anticipate some very good Sturgeon fishing for the rest of the month. The season should also be great as we’re going to get a lot of salmon returning in the summer and fall which always makes for epic sport fishing.
