Fraser river Sturgeon fishing report
The Fraser river is dropping fast over the past week(1.5 meters!) and beaches and islands are showing everywhere which means we can shore land your big Fraser Sturgeon for some great pics!. Sturgeon fishing in the Mission to Chilliwack area has been anywhere from incredible to slightly challenging over the past 2 weeks but that’s typical for early-mid July. We are catching good size fish right now. We are hooking some really big fish too, most in the 5-7 foot range, and they are really energetic, showing off with jumps and intense runs!.
Sturgeon outlook is good!
As we head into the later half of July the bite will improve but more importantly the really BIG FISH start showing, I mean the fish of dreams, the fish over 400 lbs and up to 1,200 lbs! July is a really good time to be out on the water, there isn’t many boats out there and the fish are looking to feed. If you are looking for a monster Sturgeon take note that from mid July thru until November is peak season for hogs, and during high water in late May and June we have some excellent results. Sturgeon fishing is consistently good for us with lots of 5-7 footers! Our success rate is nearly 100% when booking ‘just Sturgeon’. If the charter doesn’t catch a fish we will gladly take you out again no charge.
